Thus, Moon is the fastest moving planet and Saturn and Jupiter are the slowest moving planets.
Vedic astrology has a quantitative method of computing the beneficial effects of each of these planets around the 12 zodiac signs. For each chart, it gives a unique number of beneficial points attributed to each of these planets as they transit from one zodiac sign to another. These points remain unique throughout a person's life.
As per Vedic astrology, the movement of Saturn and Jupiter creates long-term macro signatures in a person's life, and their impact on a chart can be measured fairly accurately.
When Saturn has at least 3 and Jupiter has at least 4 beneficial points each in a particular Zodiac sign, than an astrologer concludes, that the influence of Saturn & Jupiter are normal will give positive results. There will not be any major negative influence of these two planets during the transit period in question.
Thus the combined sum of beneficial points for Saturn & Jupiter is 7 points (3 for Saturn plus 4 for Jupiter).
